The Giant Wool Cat Basket is hand-knitted to my own design, with jumbo wool on big knitting needles to create those massive chunky stitches. Cats love it!
There are 2 sizes:
Small - 26 cm / 10 inches diameter
Large - 35 cm / 14 inches diameter
Sides are 15 cm / 6 inches high. Each one is a unique handmade piece, so sizes are approximate.
Choice of yarns:
• Merino wool, supersoft luxury option, 23 mic
• Cheviot sheep's wool, a UK sheep from the Cheviot hills in the north-east of England, 30 mic
• Vegan yarn - Bio-nylon, the very latest in sustainable, biodegradable yarns
Merino and Cheviot wool are completely natural fibres with a fleecy, woolly scent which cats love!
Our vegan yarn is:
Amni Soul Eco® Nylon, planet friendly and bio-degradable
Enhanced Bio-degradable treatment (around 10 times faster)
Easy wash and fast drying
Oeko-Tex® certified (safe on the skin for both adults and children)
There is a choice of colours to co-ordinate with all kinds of home decor and cats. Please state your colour preference on the order.
Lead time: These are custom-made to order, so please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery within the UK. For delivery outside the UK, please allow 4-5 weeks to include the shipping transit time.
Care: You might want to pop a cushion or blanket inside the basket to serve as a liner if you want to catch the build-up of fur. Fur is easy to remove with a brush or a wet rubber glove. If washing is required, hand-washing is recommended. Re-shape when wet, and allow to dry slowly in a warm place.
